Where is this Body?

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
For the body is not one member, but many.
If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
And if they were all one member, where were the body?
But now are they many members, yet but one body.
And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.
That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

Let's Go!!!

DATELINE: Uganda, East Africa September 2010
A Christian pastor, Abraham Sayuuni (shown at left with family) is tending a small flock, preaching and teaching them from the pages of the Bible.
He has turned away from the standard prosperity gospel that is being preached in Uganda and all over the world and has instead turned his heart to Father God and in so doing, he is turning others away from the harlot church and into the freedom of walking in the Spirit of God.
After a time of gathering together for prayer and fasting, one evening he returned to his temporary tent home to find that it had been burned down. It is a foregone conclusion that other so-called Christian pastors in the region have jealously conspired against him to the degree that they have lost their home and he and his wife now have only the clothes on their backs. Their neighbors managed to salvage a few mattresses for his children and a suitcase filled with their clothes.
This is the same ancient power of darkness that filled the Pharisees and who in turn filled the people with a desire to destroy the prophesied messiah that stood before them.

Faith and No Works?

"So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." - James 2:12-17
This newsletter is a clarion call to God's people to shake loose the chains that bind and blind us and move into action to be the Body of Christ. It is time to arise and cross the Jordan and enter into the promised land. We've wandered around the wilderness for long enough. Have we counted the cost? Do we have what it takes to finish this off? We can no longer be the 'proud whore that sits idly by' while even violent and perverted 'humanitarians' like George Clooney and Angelina Jolie do a futile work to save the world...so it is written: "For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still." - Isaiah 30:7...even the Egyptians help to no avail, pleading with the world to send money to help earthquake and flood victims while "rahab hem-shebeth" - the proud, harlot church sits idly by. The Lord is talking to his rebellious and lying children!
The picture above is the roofless, dirt floor building where Pastor Sayuuni met with his flock. This is what we would call a 'church'. How many of you have ever seen a 'church' that looked anything close to this? Let's go from here. Let this be the beginning of the end. We have no other purpose other than to enter into the field and reap in a harvest as our Lord Jesus returns to end this present evil age. This is not a case where we came across a struggling group of Christians and we are going to rush to their aid with construction crews, supplies and money and meanwhile we conform them into our denominational beliefs as is the case with most of what we know of as 'Christian' missionaries. This is a case of a Christian who by the grace of God was shown the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He plugged into that light and made contact with the source of that light. At that point, the groundwork was laid for a family union to take place. Now, although we have never met Abraham Sayuuni or his family we have been joined together in a family bond by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the essence of the true 'church' of Jesus Christ - we are a family...God is a family!
Having said that, we each must now look at the situation and consider - what must I do? The scripture says that if I have a brother or sister that is naked and struggling even for food and I say to him - "Go in peace, may the Lord bless and keep you" - and I don't give him something tangible and real to help him with his physical needs - then my faith is dead and I'm left alone. Am I not my brother's keeper? - or are these just word's we like to read from our Bibles and repeat to others as we go forth 'ministering'?

At the Center of Self is a Sodomite

One key descriptor that sums up Satan's character is
selfishness. He thinks only of himself and places
himself above all others."For God so loved the world that
He gave..." - John 3:16
The caption and paragraph above was from our last newsletter that was sent out almost 3 years ago. It seemed quite appropriate to leave that in place as it sums up the immediate situation quite well. We realize that many of you are in similar dire straits with regard to finances and even in the midst of that, there have been a few faithful folk that have regularly contributed financially even if it is only $5 a month. For those people we are grateful. But the overriding truth of the situation is that most of us are indeed financially able (especially those in America) and should be disciplined enough to step up to the plate on a regular basis and help support our efforts to spread the gospel to the world. This is what sacrifice is all about. Will you sacrifice that weekly blockbuster movie, that daily Starbuck's coffee and a few of those McDonald lunches? There are plenty of scriptures that back this up (see Acts 4:35, Acts 11:29, 1st Corinthians 16:1-2, 2nd Corinthians 8:10-15).
"For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord, begging us with much urging for the favor of participation in the support of the saints, and this, not as we had expected, but they first gave themselves to the Lord and [then] to us by the will of God." - 2nd Corinthians 8:3-5.
This is how God's will works through real live vessels, who physically carry out tasks to accomplish a mission at hand and it is not something that can be carried out by just a few people. This will have to be a global effort by like minded people who have one goal in mind - the kingdom of our God being manifested on earth and the destruction of the existing kingdom of Satan.
If you share that goal then what are you waiting for?
LET'S GO!!!
It takes money to send out these emails. It takes money to sustain web sites. Going past this, it will take money to set up dedicated web servers to handle millions of daily visitors hungry for help. It will take money to send forth apostles to germinate new locations and establish local leadership. They in turn will need support from their localities to physically tend to hungry and hurting people. Like you, all of us here are still having to grind out the daily task of working a job in a slave system in order to put food on the table and to keep a roof over our heads. Frankly, we cannot continue like this. The Bible tells us in 2nd Corinthians 9 that God loves a giver who from his heart gives to be helpful and does so cheerfully - without regret and without having to have his arm twisted. Scripture also tells us that one plants, one waters but it is God who gives the increase. We can trust that whatever we can provide as water to our family in Uganda, God will provide the increase. God will grow that assembly and they will do exploits.
It's shameful that we are still at a place where we have to actually compel people to get into action. If a handful of people can be compelled by the Spirit himself, then why can't a thousand people or a million people or 10 million people? Where is the Body of Christ?
This effort cannot end here though...it cannot be enough to say "I pitched in for the people in Uganda and now praise the Lord everything is fine." With a concentrated effort, we should easily be able to acquire the money needed to put a parcel of land you see in the photo above into Pastor Sayuuni's hand. At that point, God will provide the increase. Then geometric progression will take over and growth will take place and spread far and wide. This is how it is in the book of Acts and it cannot be any different now - in Uganda or anywhere we live. When the people finally saw the church active and in motion they brought what they had to the apostle's feet and the needs of those who's hearts had turned to the Lord were totally met.

The Moses Syndrome

Over the years that these emails have stopped, we have still had a steady stream of people regularly signing up to receive them because the sign-up link remained on our web site. Also, over the past few years the statistics that record the number of page hits and audio message downloads have increased. And during this time there has barely been a steady trickle of people contributing financially - and most of them are the same dedicated people. The only time we get a spike are the few times we have made known the fact that there is very little coming in from outside the confines of our local fellowship here in Atlanta and the plea has gone out for people to engage and join in. Similarly, we've had people contact us that actually live in the Atlanta area and have gone as far as to ask for directions to meet with us. They have not come!
We know for a fact that some people are coming from church backgrounds where they have given or 'tithed' out of obligation but many had given because they know in their hearts it is the right thing to do. The same people come across this ministry and were graciously given the revelation of the truth of the gospel, signed up for it, turned away from the false church system they were apart of - and then stopped giving. WHAT?!? Wait a minute...did he just say they signed up to engage in a war but they wanted somebody else to do battle for them? This is reminiscent of the attitude of the Israelites that did not want to hear directly from God. They wanted Moses to be the one that talked with God. They said they would obey but did they? This is why the term "Moses Syndrome" applies here.
syndrome: a group of signs and symptoms that occur together and characterize a particular abnormality or condition.
What we've got is an abnormal condition where people - through religious brainwashing - are content to listen to sermons, read articles and watch videos week after week, month after month, year after year...and that's it. All intake and no outbound. Just like the email list - everybody signs up to receive something but does that same number turn around to give? The answer to that question is a resounding - NO!!! If you got burned from giving your money over to the false gospel - OK - get over it! This is NOT the false gospel.
We just don't make up our minds and 'decide' to enter into a Christian walk. Those that are called and chosen do so absolutely and unequivocally by a graceful and totally supernatural act of God Almighty Himself. That is the parting of the Red Sea. Then comes the circling in the wilderness. Being sifted and cleaned from the remnants of Egyptian living and being refined by the trials of life. All this time, we should be adhering to sound doctrine - the commands given from the Lord Himself through the five-fold ministry gifts mentioned in Ephesians 4 - in a sense, a type of Moses. At some point though - Moses is dead! It's not that we forsake our gifts from Jesus as we move forward, but a death and resurrection must take place. The next generation - the Joshua generation - is commanded by the Lord:
"Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses." - Joshua 1:2-3
We're all in the same boat. None of us are above reproach. If we didn't need to be reminded of these things then 2nd Corinthians 8 and 9 would not be in our Bible. This is why we have to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. If you feel put out or strained at the notion of contributing money as we are commanded to do - then don't. We can't sit here saying 'we need to wait on God'. We've been waiting...that's what we do in the wilderness! At some point the waiting is over - we break camp - break out of the huddle - stop circling and go into action. Forward this email to your Christian friends and to those you are ministering to. Promote our YouTube sites (The Latter Days and The Jesus Cult) and our other web sites and resources. God did not have bags of monies and treasures to just mystically materialize for the disciples in Acts. The people went into action and physically tended to the business at hand. To those that are able and willing:
Father, glory to you and thanks to you for having blessed our ears to hear and understand your Word, which enables us to undergo the process of transformation to be made into the image of your Son and saved from this perverted and wicked nature that must be destroyed. We beg you to supernaturally intervene on behalf of your people - to lift the scales off of our eyes so that we can see the road ahead and that we can directly hear from you - the instructions needed to carry out your will. As the prophets of old prayed, so do we, repenting of our wickedness, our slothfulness and our selfishness. Please complete this work, equip us, and in Jesus' authority

For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
